Society of Women Engineers
I have been involved in SWE since my first steps on Michigan's campus. I am deeply involved in outreach with SWE, and have really found my passion for it through the trips that I have managed and led.
My freshman year, I was the Global Engagement Director for India, coordinating and planning a 3 week long outreach trip to Southern India. Sophomore year, I was our Alternative Spring Break Officer, and
planned and led a trip to Chicago to conduct a week long outreach program at Lindlom High School. Junior year, I was our outreach director, overseeing all of SWE's K-12 outreach efforts, and having a total
impact of over 2,500 kids in the academic school year. Finally, as a senior, I am our Diversity, Equty, and Inclusion Officer, focusing on making sure we are always growing as an organization, and supporting
movements such as Black Lives Matter. In addition, I also communicate SWE's position and advocate for strong DEI movements to several Engineering departments, and the Dean of the College of Engineering.
